Pamica divests Somna AB

somna

Today, Pamica AB, together with its co-investors, signed an agreement with MedCap (publ) AB through its subsidiary Abilia to sell all shares in Somna AB. It is the first sale in Pamica’s first fund after a holding period of just under 3 years.

During Pamica’s ownership, Somna has developed into a company with a flexible and efficient organization under stable and high profitability. This has been done through good collaboration between Somna’s management and Pamica.

During the last ten years, Somna has established itself as the leading supplier of medically approved weighted blankets for primarily Swedish users and has a market share of about 30% of the Swedish market. Somna had a turnover of approximately 40 MSEK in 2019 with an EBITDA margin of about 30%. The deal will be closed on January 31, 2020.

“Pamica started the sales process in the fall of 2019 and is very happy today to sign an agreement with MedCap for the sale of Somna. MedCap is a strategically very good buyer of Somna AB”, says Jan-Olof Svensson, CEO of Pamica AB.

“The sale of Somna is an important milestone since it is the first portfolio company we sell. We hope for continued good development for Somna with its new owners,” says jan Klippvik, Chairman of Pamica.
